if you are a new face, it's not necessery to have professional pictures, your agency will organize you free testshootings for building up your book.

For already professional Models it's the most important thing! With your pictures you aply for future Jobs all around the world. Some clients dont even call you for an casting or a go&see and just look to your material and what you've did in the past.

The secound most important thing are polaroids! Every model should have good lightet fresh snapshoots. Its important for the client and also for the agencys abroad, sometimes they wanna see the "real" person behind the pictures. Sometimes agencys like your polaroids so much that they decide to work with you, although your book is not strong.
